every one wants their shot to fame.. dun matter hu u are.. haha
let me see if i can write as well as i talk.
5 years ago in sec 3 tong ann, shane, nasri, and my fellow class mates had begun the craze of beat boxing. this was preceded by a school junior by the name of ryan and hes championship in the singapore beat boxing arena. (ryan later broke his front teeth from wat i hear.. but thats just gossip)
meanwhile, at the same time i was exposed to RADIATION! haha no la..
exposed to the wonders of rap of the likes of mike shinoda and fort minor.
of the rising tied album that they released, one of the songs that i felt was the best was
"where'd u go" by fort minor with holly "something"
to anyone hu klnows the song they would know that the song is a nice slow rhytemic beat with ery solid lyrics and steady lyrics.. now, me being my usual talkative self, i decided to learn this song and be able to rap is continously. and tong, being the latest beat box fanatic, set to work mastering the entire length of the song.
so anyway.. teachers day was coming closer and as per tradition. classes were allowed to try out and display a show of support for the teachers to be played infron t of the whole school and teachers faculty.
i guess u know wat we tried to do after that.. haha.. we grouped up, tong and shane on the beat and me and mahdi on the raps, haha.. needless to say our idea quickly went out the drain when we realised it would be alot harder to do and practice. so thus.. our idea quickly went down the drain and the idea shifted back to the class going on about acrobats and stunts...
nevertheless i found myself every morning repeating the song in my ipod in the hope that the idea would be revitalised and i would still be able to complete the song at anytime.. haha
and shane continued to beat box.. tong too.. haha but i think now never le.. mahdi still raps.. and boy can he rap..haha..
i guess wat im trying to say is that everyone secretly wants the chance to try and shine.. to make it big and gain the attention of the stranger.. haha.. even if u know u wont get it.. u find ur self in a corner on ur own still making sure IF u ever got the chance.. to not mess up.. haha..
to ppl hu have fame and either dun want it or think they dun deserve it.. haha..
just enjoy it.. haha.. why not.. u got it.. whether u want it or not.. so why not make full use of it?
to ppl hu still yearn for fame: JIA YOU..
peace.. if my story dun make sense.. uhm.. i tried? lol..
cheers and happy chinese new year..
